Is Spark really free?
Yes — 50 invoices per month, unlimited clients, contracts, proposals, and the client portal are all free forever. No credit card needed. We plan to charge for higher invoice volumes and team features in the future, but the core tool stays free.
How does the UPI QR payment work?
When you add your UPI ID in your profile, Spark automatically embeds a scannable QR code on every invoice PDF. Your client opens the PDF, scans the QR with any UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm), and pays instantly. You get the money in your bank account directly — no gateway, no fees.
What happens when a client signs a contract?
You create a contract in Spark, set the scope, value, and payment terms, then share a link. Your client opens the link on any device, reads the contract, and clicks Accept. Their acceptance is recorded with a timestamp. You can then convert the signed contract to an invoice with one tap.
Can I use Spark without internet?
Yes. Spark is a Progressive Web App (PWA) — install it on your phone's home screen like a native app. You can create invoices and view client data offline. Everything syncs automatically when you reconnect.
Does Spark handle GST?
Spark generates GST-compliant invoices with CGST/SGST/IGST breakdowns. You can enter your GSTIN and your client's GSTIN. You can download a GST summary report anytime. For full GST filing (GSTR-1, 3B), upgrade to AskBooks Pro.
Can I upgrade to full AskBooks later?
Yes, and all your data carries over. Spark shares the same database as AskBooks Pro — upgrading gives you payroll, full GST filing, accounting journals, and multi-user access without any data migration.
