First-month stories

How real customers spent their first 30 days

Anonymised stories from customers who joined recently.

Wholesale Distribution

Live the same afternoon we signed up. The migration team imported six years of Tally data overnight — first GSTR-1 was filed from AskBooks within the same week.

A wholesale distributor in Surat
Restaurants & F&B

KOTs, table turns, and Zomato/Swiggy reconciliation were running by Day 3. Day 30 was when our CA quietly told us this is the cleanest set of books she has seen for an F&B business.

A multi-location restaurant in Bengaluru
Chartered Accountancy

Onboarded 12 of our clients in the first week. CA Connect bulk filing replaced our existing workflow on Day 8 — we did not look back.

FAQ

Onboarding questions

The most common things people ask before they sign up.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. Khata is free forever and Pro starts with a 14-day trial — neither requires a credit card. You only add payment details when you decide to continue with Pro.

What if I make a mistake during setup?

Almost everything is editable later — chart of accounts, opening balances, party masters, GST settings. Our onboarding team is on WhatsApp during your first 30 days specifically to fix things if needed.

How long does Tally migration really take?

The data import itself is 20-25 minutes for most businesses. Add an hour for review and reconciliation. Most customers are live the same day they sign up.

When should I invite my CA?

On Day 1. CA access is free, and the earlier they’re in, the less back-and-forth you have around setup. Many customers tell us their CA caught small issues we would have spent weeks on.

What happens after the first 30 days?

You stay on the same plan you signed up for — Khata stays free, Pro continues at ₹999/month. Onboarding support transitions to standard 24×7 support, which is just as fast.
