Does AskBooks work with Zomato and Swiggy simultaneously?
Yes. AskBooks integrates with both Zomato and Swiggy. Daily settlement reports are auto-imported, and each order is matched at line-item level. Commission, refunds, promo-discounts, and TDS are each split out in your books separately.
What GST rate applies to my restaurant?
Restaurants without AC are taxed at 5% GST (no ITC). Restaurants with AC or liquor licence are taxed at 5% GST (no ITC). Hotel restaurants with room tariff above ₹7,500/night use 18% GST. AskBooks auto-detects your configuration and applies the right rate on every bill.
Can I use my existing thermal printer with AskBooks?
Yes. AskBooks supports all ESC/POS compatible thermal printers — Epson TM series, Star Micronics, Xprinter, TVS-E and others. Station-wise printing (kitchen, bar, tandoor) is configured in 5 minutes.
How does recipe costing work?
You define a BOM (bill of materials) for each dish — e.g., 200g chicken, 50ml cream, 10g spice mix. Each ingredient is linked to inventory. When a dish is sold, stock is auto-deducted. Gross margin per dish is shown on the menu engineering report.
Can cloud kitchens with multiple brands use AskBooks?
Yes. Cloud kitchens can set up each virtual brand as a sub-outlet. KOTs, menus, GST, and P&L are tracked separately per brand. Aggregator settlements for each brand are reconciled independently in the same dashboard.
